Our mission as publishers representatives is to set the standard for sales and service in the bookselling community. We proudly represent a select group of publishers to bookstores and specialty stores in the Mid-Atlantic and New England.
NEIBA Regional Show Summary:
And just like that, it’s SEPTEMBER (?!!), and it’s NEIBA Fall Conference time, this year being held in the Boston Marriott Newton 9/11-13.
This message is jam-packed: we have a lot going on at the show, please read though and we look forward to seeing you there!
WHERE WE WILL BE & WHO WILL BE THERE?:
Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. & our clients will be in booths 18-21 in The Grand Ballroom on Thursday, 9/12 from 10am-4pm. This year we are fortunate to have representatives from 1517 Media, Abrams, Barefoot, Candlewick/Holiday House, Cottage Door, Quarto, and Red Wheel/Weiser on hand to assist us (Keith Arsenault & Steve Straw) with your questions; be sure to say hello!
BOOKS OF NOTE FOR THE SHOW:
In this Edelweiss collection you will find the following: titles from Keith’s Rep Picks session; Author Reception titles; titles being advertised in the 2024 NEIBA Holiday Catalog; booth signing on Thursday; and finalists for NEIBA awards.
EXCITING NEW GIFT CLIENT: PLUM DELUXE TEA
We are really excited to begin repping Plum Deluxe Tea to bookstores throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic! I’ll have some samples on hand in the booth for you to check out, and all of their product info is in the zip file attached. While I think they could sell for most stores (especially their literary-themed sets), I’d especially love to speak with you about them if you have a café in your store!
EDUCATION SESSION: NEW TO NEIBA BOOT-CAMP WEDNESDAY 9/11 9-10:30am CHARLES RIVER ROOM WEST
Along with two bookstore owners, a fellow rep, and an ABA staffer, Keith will be on this panel session which is intended to help soon-to-be booksellers/owners or new staff/owners to navigate the trade show and the publishing world in general. BRING YOUR QUESTIONS, BIG OR SMALL!
