Robin Bell has been with Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. since its inception and is the Operations Manager. She is frequently known as the voice of Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. Robin oversees the daily activities in the main office including managing office personnel in each department and is the liaison for both publishers and field reps.
Seamus Gourley joined Chespeake & Hudson in 2018 as a part-time sales assistant. He has been working in independent bookstores since 2005. Two-time recipient of the James Patterson Holiday Bonus, he is as comfortable in the children's section as he is in the classics.
Jennifer Hawkinberry joined Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. in Spring 2005 as a part-time sales assistant. She currently works full time and oversees the collateral material for booksellers and field reps as well as helping with customer service and special sales. Her current role includes managing and coordinating cooperative advertising, events, and author signings.
Sally Lindsay joined Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. as a sales assistant in the summer of 2008 and currently works part-time as the Director of Telemarketing and Special Sales. A bookselling professional since 1973, she was VP of Merchandising at Koen Book Distributors.
Jill Cadogan started at C&H in 2016 as a sales rep covering our New England territory. Prior to her current position, she was the buyer at Willow Books in Acton, MA for 20 years. She also offers extensive knowledge from prior positions as a bookseller at The Globe Corner Bookstore in Boston, Harbor Books in Yarmouth, ME and Doubleday Bookshops in the Boston area.
Bill Hoar has been selling books in New York City and Long Island for over 40 years, and has been President and co-owner of Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. since 1992.
Angie Nicewarner joined Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. in the fall of 2005 as a part-time sales assistant. She works full-time as the Customer Service Manager maintaining order processing and customer service. She also assists with telemarketing and new account set up.
Ted Wedel has been covering the Mid-Atlantic territory for over 35 years, with a former career as a bookseller. Ted has been Vice President and co-owner of Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. since 1992. In addition to his key accounts, he covers the Mid-Atlantic metropolitan Washington-Baltimore area.
Steve Straw joined Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. in 1994, having spent the earlier part of his career in retail book sales. In addition to his key accounts, Steve covers New Jersey, Philadelphia, Delaware and Connecticut.
Michael Gourley has been with Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. since its inception as the New York City and Metropolitan Area rep calling on key accounts, museum stores, and independently owned bookstores. He also covers Maine. Previously he was head buyer at Book Dynamics, a wholesaler in New York City, and managed and bought for an independent bookstore. He started in the book business in 1981.
Janine Jensen has been with Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. since its inception. She is focused on working closely with National and key accounts. She sells to a wide variety of accounts, mainly in Washington, DC, Maryland and West Virginia.
Candy Stowers joined Chesapeake & Hudson, Inc. in the fall of 2004 as a part-time sales assistant. She is currently supporting the sales efforts to national accounts.
Dallas White joined Chesapeake and Hudson at the start of 2017 as a part-time sales assistant. Aside from his acting career, he manages C&H's social media and website. In addition, Dallas maintains shipping and receiving needs. Dallas also assists with completing other office tasks assigned.
Karla Yeager joined Chesapeake and Hudson in the fall of 2014. She handles all accounting, data analysis, and Human Resource responsibilities. Karla came to us with previous experience in Office management and Accounting.
